Germany based Tender Absence has commissioned performances under three different titles, and the final title Show I Real, will be hosting digital and/or hybrid productions in order to make these performances visible. The project aims to bring together performances which celebrate ‘glocality’, bridging the local and the global. Our contributing piece as Kritik Alan entitled “Groping in the Dark” is a video performance exploring the theme of deterritorialization through the experience of the population exchange which took place at the village of Sazak in the early 1920s.

“Groping in the Dark” has been designed to pull its audience into actively engaging in a game of blind man’s buff.

The drone and 5 GoPro recordings will be open to the viewers selection and while the performers have their eyes tied, the viewers will have the option to choose their preferred camera view!
